We recently represented a client charged with Driving Under the Influence in Alaska. The case involved a traffic stop, field sobriety testing, and a breath test result alleged to be over the legal limit.

After reviewing the evidence, the client's circumstances, and mitigation materials, we negotiated with the State for a non-DUI resolution. The State agreed to amend the DUI charge to Reckless Driving.

This resolution helped the client avoid a DUI conviction and the mandatory criminal penalties associated with a DUI conviction. It also provided a practical resolution tailored to the specific facts of the case.
