Dry Village Alcohol Importation Case Dismissed After Successful SEJ

May 2026

Represented a client charged with misdemeanor alcohol importation and transportation offenses involving a local option (“dry”) community. The charges carried mandatory minimum sentencing exposure and the possibility of a permanent criminal conviction.

After reviewing the evidence and identifying potential legal and evidentiary issues, negotiated a suspended entry of judgment (SEJ) agreement allowing the client to avoid a conviction. Following successful completion of the agreement terms, the court dismissed all charges.
